Yeah yeah yeah. Remember abt a week ago I said that I'd get the iphone from the States with the help from my uncle. Booooo..This is long gone. Today he msg-ed from the US saying "no more iphones" Bleah. This leaves me to my final and most "unwanted" decision, to.....WAIT!!!

June 9th is the officially release of the 3G iphone, as rumoured by many in information websites and forums. So if Steve Jobs doesnt release it, he's so gonna get "flamed" online. And prior to all those speculation, Singtel announced a joint deal with Apple to bring the iphone to our shores.

Now the question is:
-Will June 9th be the day the 3G iphone is gonna be released?
-When can we get the 3G iphone? I do not want the answer August, Sept,Oct,Nov and DEC!
-How much is it? Cos my budget is only like 700 bucks?
-Need to sign a new line? Cos Mum's line is only up in April. Mine? Dont even think abt it, perhaps during my NS.

So after CTs = waiting for Steve Jobs to make the announcement. And I've alr placed a USA timezone clock on my desktop to "monitor" the time in the US. LOL

Last but not least, should my patience run out(I think its running dry very very soon), the answer to it all will be 16GB ipod touch. =)

Ahhh.. another 5 more days to the Common Tests. So its all up gearing for revision and all of a sudden CAEM pops out with assignment and it really fustrates me, having to take some time off to complete the super mental-draining task. But never mind, since Im gonna finish it soon.

I have a whole list of things to do after the Common Tests.

1)SET-UP my new IPHONE/IPOD TOUCH!!
2)Clear my laptop of all un-necessary files and to optimise disk space PLUS DEFRAGMENT
3)Finish ACDA and DEL assignment, study CAEM common test
4)Macritchie run?? Yeah after running the Toa Payoh to Bishan route like thrice a week, I think its time I timed myself for macritchie.Hehe.
5)Pay eunice for her long long owed concert ticket.Oops.
7)Store some basic Japanese translation words into my gadget in order to SURVIVE the language barrier during the Japanese trip
8)Pool!
9)Soccer!
10)Avionics Euro-copter trip. Teo Huei said there will be games before the factory visit at 1pm, so Im so so so so so excited to know what the games are.Oh yeah. LOL

PS. I have to admit, Lin JJ is a super talented singer, fantastic song writer and and and....a kind hearted person! Oh man, his new song specially for the SiChuan earthquake was really really good and it sounds very touching.Heres the link to go hear it http://mp3.sogou.com/music.so?pf=&as=&st=&ac=1&query=%B0%AE%D3%EB%CF%A3%CD%FB&class=1&sid=&%2Fmusic.so=null&_asf=mp3.sogou.com&_ast=1211864026&w=02009900.

Okay its time to take a BREAK from the CT studying. Arh gosh, it certainly is quite stressful studying DEL, all the "bar" here "bar" there. FOOP's programming language was quite managable, thinking of which to change to int and which to float. ACDA, all about negative feedback, saturation voltage, blah blah blah. Maths = BEST! Everything also no prob! Telecommunications principal was....well.. quite okay bah, not too bad for the fourier series.

Tmr's sch as usual, Tues as usual too.Weds no IS!!! So only Dip Plus at 1am. Thurs as usual. Fri no sch till 12pm b'cos of grad ceremony! Whoo!! Oh well, the week before common tests is usually all the make-up lab week and what-not, so its quite slack and certainly more time to revise my work. =)

Alright, lets see.Hmmm another 1.5 more weeks till I lay my hands on this IPHONE!!!!!
But read some reports on failed jailbreaking, which sounds quite demoralising to me, since Im gonna jailbreak the iphone myself without any external help. Wah if Im successful Im gonna be so proud of myself. I just pray that the phone doesnt give me any problems that's all.

PS. I suddenly feel like eating Mcdonald's fries! ARGH!

Seriously, life is full of twists and turns.

Manutd were on the brink of losing the penalty shoot-out when suddenly John Terry missed the shot and they went back on track, only to claim the Champions League title 9 years on with a superb save by edwin van de sar on nicholas anelka's shot. 1 word, CHAMPIONS.

And on another issue, I think I'd better start from the beginning to explain it all. At first, I'd wanted an iphone since my mp3 was on the verge of breaking down. And reconsidering the fact that it was expensive, I'd thgt I would go for an ipod touch instead. Now, after a whole series of events and yeah, Im going for the iphone again, when my uncle returns with it from the USA. So the date Im getting it, perhaps abt 4th june and Im so so so looking forward to it. But first things first, to settle my common tests and what am Im aiming for? Definitely all As =P (Most will be As so dun laugh if I get a B =X)

Well Im sure everyone knows about this, the China quake in Sichuan. Its been a sad thing to know of and of recent days, the effects have been well felt across the whole of China as well as the globe.

Mum's been watching CCTV4 closely of late, well not because we are chinese nationals, but to know more of the heart-warming, or rather, heart-wrenching stories pouring out from the disaster zone. Watched the 3 minutes morning session at 2.28pm today, the exact time the huge quake struck the area. Its good to note that China is very serious about the rescue efforts and from the video coverage provided, its evident that lots of resources are pouring in every second to save those still trapped under the rubble. The whole nation seems so united and ....well, this is what I can truely call patriotism.

People sharing food at the disaster zone, army men and rescue working spare no effort in looking for survivors, logistics being flown in from the main capital, donations being collected to fund much needed necessities. Its a WHOLE nation at work.

And what mum told me during this CCTV reporter's trip to Sichuan really made me feel touched. There was this man who was trapped under all the rubble and a reporter nearby spotted him. Without any hesitation, the reporter called for help and she suggested to the man to call his wife using her phone. After dailling the numbers, she placed the phone next to his ears. The trapped man then told his wife he was fine and that she need not worry much. Rescuers came and got him out of there in a few hours. On the way to the hospital, he died. Seriously, it was so sad. And what made it more sad was that the paramedics around him shaked him many times to wake him up and they cried for him... when he didnt make it through

Well, this is how precious life is. A moment's changes can change your whole life forever. Or perhaps, you wouldn't even get to open your eyelids for a second time. I wonder if any other nation would be as united as China in such a crisis. Im very pleased with the China government's response to this crisis, as with many others around the globe who share similar thoughts too. Whatever they can do, they did. And Chinese nationals around the world too are chipping in to help their nation in whatever way they can. The word they used to describe their fellow Chinese, "Tong2 Bao1", shows their unity.

God bless them.

2 more weeks to common tests. So it just means gotta "PIA" alr. Hmmmm..and to stretch the calender a little further, another 2.5 more weeks to getting my ipod touch. =)

I was just telling ppl today that Im feeling the effects of how fast time travels. Like how something was mentioned long ago but it seems to me that is was just said a few days back.Like how much I was longing for the ipod touch and now, its just 2.5 weeks more to get my hands on it. But well, full force on the common tests first. This 20% is just a must-have in my "pocket" because losing it would just mean throwing a good and easy opportunity to score an A.

Read the Pcgamer magazine Melvin Tan brought for me today because of the Red Alert 3 article in it. Seriously, Im a true hardcore Red Alert fan, despite the "hobby" sinking 7 years back. At that time, it was primary 5 and the guys in my class were like Red Alert fanatics, with Leslie leading the way. Lol. And well, he's the most powerful around and during those days it didnt need much graphics support to play Red Alert 2 so it was a "you can play it if you have a comp" kinda situation. Now,haiz, sad to say, those notes in our pockets have to be compromised if we wanna play the latest game, simply because we have to constantly update with the graphics demand. =( Lucky for me, I dont play much games, perhaps only Dota, which is seldomly touched, or ......hmmm..cant seem to think of anything else. The playstation 2 is also collecting dust in my living room and there isn't any urge at all to get a PS3. Nowadays I'd rather watch movies, videos, tv serials or just get moving with an outdoor activity. There's simply no time at all for any sort of gaming. But since Red Alert 3 is coming round the corner, its time to get a mid-graphics kinda comp and continue to re-live the command and conquer experience. Hopefully, I can revive my "comrades" who were on the battlefield 7 years ago too. =)

Just on a random thought, I realised how un-appreciative I am towards my gadgets and items. Last year before sch, I was so excited about owning a laptop. Now, its just a daily routine kinda thing and I dont really feel that "WOW" anymore. Same goes to my mobile phone of 3 months. And to go deeper, its not about the appreciative feeling anymore. Its more of whether is it a necessity or not. You might have the latest phone with the best camera, bluetooth and what have you. But, just like me, if you do not have a need for these functions, it just turns out to be a normal part of your life. And after time, it just gets thrown around. So in conclusion, its best to have a buffer period before you buy anything, esp. those expensive stuff, so as to determine if you really have a need or urgent want for them. Cooling periods like these seriously can "wake" you up from your "dream" and make you fall back to reality and practicality.

So bye guys, Im gonna finish up my Maths tutorials. Oh and, mdm Tan said that my tutorial exercises were very neatly done. =) HAHAHA.

Alright guys, loads to post
Firstly, WE WON THE PREMIER LEAGUE TITLE!! Needless to say, its quite an amazing feat considering Manutd has a poor start to the season and there was this nerve-wreaking end to it all. Well, we stayed strong and proved that we just weren't the underdogs.
Next up,my review on the YJC concert, consisting of the guitar ensemble, chinese orchestra and the chinese drama thing.
--------
Firstly, the map on e back of e concert ticket is so hard to digest. The bus numbers and block numbers are simply so messed up! Well it takes a common sense person like me to understand it
at second sight =P HAHAHA
--------
So after walking to the wrong schs around YJC, I finally found it. And when you've run around the Yishun Ring Road like a mad monkey, all you need is the air-con and logically speaking, it presence can be literally felt outside the auditorium. However, my entry was denied by these 2 pretty councillors who told me the entrance is only open at 7.15.Okay, their beauty made me cooler.HAHA. Sat by the bench to read the sports newspapers and that is my only source of killing boredom. Whooo.Miss Eunice Yen, the person who invited me to the concert, didnt even see me when she walked past carrying the guitar?!?!?!?! Yeah and when she did see me l8r on, guess what she said."Mervyn Heng" I was like "diao", that's all you say to a friend who came to support you?! Haiz, seriously Im very disappointed in you Eunice, Eunice ar, tsk tsk tsk...And guess what, just when I thgt I was all solo watching the concert, Lester poped out of nowhere!! Haha, he came to support his friend too in the CO and well, single too. So now I know, 2 soloists
make up a good pair. =)
--------
The guitar performance was nice, but the songs weren't really very uniformly played. And I couldn't see Eunice throughout the whole performance, obviously cos of her *AHEM* . And she still asked me if she could see me, well I only saw her hairband to be honest =X But their Canon in D was quite nice. The MC looked a little gay and seemed as if he urgently needed the 2 Strepsils in my bag. Dry throat I suppose. CO performance was average, as what mr music pro lester judged. The drama was nice and super funny lar!! Really, I think they deserved the gold they got from the SYF judging thing. Very good performance and great storyline. The girl acting the madam white snake in the play was pretty too! =) During the change-overs the performers dedicated msgs to their family members and friends for attending the performance. Lester got 1 from his friend CAT. Eunice didnt dedicate 1 for me!!! Okay Im so not gg to any of her concerts alr. And guess what's e reply I got "I invited 16 ppl how to dedicate to so many ppl?!" Well, impossible is nothing =P
--------
The last part of the concert consisted of the CO and the guitar ensemble playing "rhythm of the rain". The guitar emsemble ppl were sitting along the aisle while the CO were up on stage. Its suppossed to have this warm the audience feeling I suppose. But a shocking found-out by me reveals that the guitar ensemble ppl around me dont sound like they are playing!! They seem as if they're just plucking random strings. I think the rhythm of the rain can be louder than their playing. LOL
--------
Got to tour the sch during the toilet break and wah seh, the canteen looks like an army barracks! I think the NPCC ATC campsite's canteen is considered 5 star when you make a side by side comparison. Not tt Im suaning the sch, but its seriously sucha an old canteen I've not seen since primary 5!
Overall, its a great performance but Eunice's "sincereity" has failed.Haiz Eunice ar Eunice....TSK TSK TSK TSK TSK. HAHAHAHAHA.
--------
Now Im gonna rate it the way ChannelNewsAsia ppl rate the latest music albums.
*drum roll*
"Im gonna give the concert, a 3.5 out of 5"
1 = Sleeping is much better
2 = Ask yr friend to record e dvd version and send it to you
3 = You might catch a little sleep here and there
4 = You're awe-ed by it
5 = It beats Jay Chou coming to town and perform
--------
So obviously its quite pointless for you ppl to see this, cos even though I've rated it, the concert is over so its useless even if I said its 5/5. =P

Ahhh, 4 more weeks to the common tests...But well, common tests aren't as scary as the exams.

Class everyday has been made much crappier thanks to the flawless colaboration between me and marcus. Well of course, he would take the initiative to start making me, like poking me, touching my thighs and blah blah blah. Of course,we're in the right frame of mind and definitely not gays so pls do not get the wrong idea. We're just having fun and adding more life to the lessons that make us yawn. Since newton's 3rd law summarizes that there is "action reaction",I hit back without any hesitation. =) But hey we still do listen to the lesson and we do know what's going on.
Tomorrow's CAEM(dip plus) and Im so looking forward to mr o'connor teaching. I mean I admit during CAEM 1 I didnt even touch the books until the last week before the exam and managed to scrap past with a B, though my lessons were filled with chatting, tidbits and newspaper reading sessions. But now, I view his lessons from a different angle and it certainly is interesting. I mean... he's a PRINCETON graduate okay so he does has smth in him that is worth passing on to us. Hmmmm...maybe how to make ipods. Ah crap.

Today I went to look for the mother's day gift specifically given to me by mum! And guess what......Its DALE from the Chip and Dale series of Disney's cartoon charactors. So here is it.

Yeah, shooooooo CUTE right.

Yeah, this is my bro's one, which was what made my mum request for me to buy the other pair.

Oh, Im so happily crushing my brother's CHIP.

GONE!

Go MANUTD, 2 MORE GAMES FOR 2 MORE TROPHIES!!
