Alright Im not going to rant like what others are doing now about how hard project is. All I've got to say is, though its a little stressful now and that everyone's very uptight and careful with the schedule, the champions train under the toughest conditions. So if we pull out of this well, which Im very sure we will, we will become the winners, not in the eyes of others, but in the minds of ourselves.

So for this semester, I never regretted opting for the IS module Mind Quest for Excellence. From the first lesson, I've acknowledged and see the potential in this module in allowing me to shine to the best of my abilities. To put it in short, it is in line with Hwa Chong Institution's main core belief, which I've always liked, 自强不息. The same belief that pulls the school's students to the very highest heights in whichever field they are in. Contents wise, the lecture said he will teach us methods to push ourselves forward and techniques will be taught to aid us in that thrust.

Modules wise, Im very satisfied with the lecturers allocated to us. All of them are experienced and efficient in delivering lecture materials. Particularly, I think it had not been a wrong choice to retake CAEM 3, where doc ong is very patient and caring to explain every detail of the lesson to me. From the bottom of my heart, I seriously didnt expect such treatment from him, but he was nice enough to try and aid me as much as possible.

Project wise, everyone is very confused as to the weightages and what to expect in the coming weeks. However, we are all taking 1 step at a time and most of us are on track to complete our required work. Though hard, I believe it is just another opportunity towards perfecting our skills and knowledge before we leave the polytechnic.

Lastly, CCA. Avionics club has much activities to come in the new academic year. Not mentioning the newly founded Aerospace Electronics Society as well. But I shall limit my activity limit so that I shall concentrate more on my studies. The second reason is that.. well there's no point in getting so many more CCA points than the bare minimum required so since Im well on track to reach my targetted Gold, its time to slow down the steps and savour every moment of my study and project life.

Now to drift away from the topic of school, I went to Sim Lim tower today with my parents to purchase some tools to help me in project work. Bought a cutter, wire stripper and new breadboard. Went to Sim Lim Square later to on see if there is any suitable joystick, since I have to practise instrument flying for the upcoming tests. And looking at all the simulators and joysticks all around, it just makes me remember the pure joy of flying, the days at the Singapore Youth Flying Club. Had it not been the ultimate "stress and scolding" I got and packed timetable, I would certainly have stayed on. Seriously I loved flying to such an extent that I would want to get a Private Pilot's License in future. It might be just a passing remark made by me now when the flames of flight is burning so strongly in me, but as long as the flame is there, the passion never goes out. Somehow we are blinded by the license that we simply ignore the existence of the fun we derive from being up there in the sky, hovering around an area where congestion is just absent. Tranquility just does not say much in this case.

So lastly, much thanks to God for blessing me with the aid and advises to fight this "war" no matter the outcome.

Today's first day of school. Erm well cant seem to wanna wake up as usual =P But eventually was like quite early for school. Went to buy books thinking that year 3 students can just purchase it straight off the counter without having to queue. But yeah, not the case =X

Skipped 1 hr of AL lecture to handle the CCA fiesta booth. By lunch time there was a mad stream of ppl coming into the hall.

ANCS tutorial after lunch and mr tang just gave an overview of the whole module. Another 1 hr of lecture and then ANCS practical. Mr ng allowed us to go since there was nth much and most of the practical stuffs is gonna start next week. So yeah home at 3!! =D

Ok gonna watch tv now, since i missed some episodes while being in school today =P

Wohooo, I only have the TP test blocking my way to my long desired license! Cos I passed my FTT today! Whee! Many around me have failed on their first attempt and it has made me very jumpy ever since so I decided to mug the book. Oh well, hard work pays. Before the FTT, had the theory trial test and within 15 mins of doing it, yeah, 50/50 for it!

Went out of the room feeling more confident and saw this guy from ngee ann who's from the badminton club. Damn fun to talk with him and his friends and we were laughing at his driving progress. Hahaha. So I think its fun as fellow drivers we share our fair bit of nonsense on what we see and do on the roads and there's this guy who said he was super sian-ed for his TP test cos he didnt even mount kerb at all his whole learning process and he mounted it while doing directional change for TP test. And the tester still told him in a very cool manner "eh, mount kerb right?" LOL, the way he showed the tester's facial expression is super hilarious.

So went in for FTT. Erm did my questions and had just a few uncertainties. Checked through once and prayed super hard when clicking the submit button. Whew, God has blessed me! I was super happy to see the word "PASSED" on my screen. Hahahaha, didnt waste my continuous effort in reading the 600 questionaire book.

Now Im trying to wait for the system to release the 30 may TP test date, which is a sat. And having driven mostly on sat, Im waiting to book a early morning slot so I dont have to fret over changing lanes during heavy traffic. That seriously can make me go nuts!

Back to camping at the SSDC website =)

Finally! Just another step closer to booking the TP test! I passed my last driving school subject, specifically subject 33, with just 16 points of out of max 18 points Im suppossed to accumulate! Hahahahaha. So erm the mistakes were

(1) Not releasing handbrake while moving on slope =X (2)
(2) Road hogging on right lane for a while, well cos I was too smart and I knew where the test route was going so failed to keep left =P (6)
(3) Requiring additional reverse manoeuvre for parallel parking (2)
(4) Fail to use appropriate gear, cos I moving up the Yio Chu Kang slope on gear 3 so instructor debated and said gear 2 could have been better (2)
(5) Fail to use engine brake , which i dont know at where so didnt really realise it =P (2)
(6) Delay in moving off , yar a little slow at stop line (2)

So all in all i guess points 1, 2, 3 and 4 could have been avoided so leaving me with just 4 demerit points. But I was darn lucky the roads were clear when the assessment was being conducted. Couldnt imagine lane changing during heavy traffic and the tester being an asshole by telling me late.

Now left with FTT tomorrow to finish all my preparations before TP test booking. Reading the 600 questionaire like mad but its not a last minute attempt so I think I can clear my FTT tomorrow. =)

OMG, 22 points is quite okay since its my first time having a go at a mock test but 2 immediately failures is @$&#$ Failure to stop at stop line and infringing into yellow box =X Well its not as if I chionged past the stop line the car was just moving at such a slow slow slow creeping speed with brakes applied but well it does not constitute theoratically as a stop. And the yellow box was super wasted too cos I was making a sharp turn out of the parking lot and damn! the stupid box was there. But demerit points were mainly on my inability to drive fast and thus a chain reaction of insufficient acceleration issues.

So therefore, for tomorrow's lesson, Im pretty sure I'll remain at about 70km/h. Hahahaha

Oh my, I should have taken a screenshot this afternoon on how many slots the driving centre released for next week. Monday to Sat, 8.15 and 10.30 sessions. Yeah I just could not believe what was in front of me for that moment. Like SOOOOO many sessions being let out into this super competitive market. And I suppossed there were many slots around because they were still for sale when I logged in an hour later. Bought 3 for next week because I anticipate to finish the whole driving syllabus by then. Coupled with the very hopeful mentality of passing my FTT, I predict I will be able to have my TP test soon in about a month's time =) C'mon license!!

Anyway since I'd be driving my auto car soon in less than 12 hours from now, I asked dad to allow me to drive the car in the carpark and it was like so different from driving in the circuit. Somehow, I feel more responsible for my own safety HAHAHAHA. Anyway our family's toyota feels a little weird compared to the school's Honda. Maybe its auto config Im not clear on that but the feeling is totally different. =X

Downloaded FIFA Online 2 and yeah this is what kept me blogging at such an hour on a tuesday morning. Super addictive due to the capability in buying and training players to the best of their potential. Tried Aston Villa, Barcelona and Chelsea. Super super fun!!!

And since FIFA online 2 has made me so awake, I will go read up on my FTT book now. Trial Test this weekend =)

Today's a brake from 2 days of hectic driving.Erm BRAKE??!?! Yeah, that's how crazy I am over driving now. Another 2 more sessions to go before the closure of this week.

And another 4 more for next. =P Some people find it hard to obtain their slots but for me I attribute to it luck and "hard-work" Yes there certainly is determination involved here. You'd have to constantly refresh the page like twice in every 1 minute?! Yeah so it just tests your patience to the limit when there are no slots in return. But there definitely is some form of reward at the end of the day.

Learning parking and auto car soon! After learning auto i think i'd ask dad to let me practise parking at the lots downstairs so i dont have to book and go to yio chu kang just to practise more parking. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Driving aside, sch's reopening soon =( And here comes final year project. At least my group members are one of the best scorers in the class so i dont have to worry much but yeah, just hearing the word project really drags everything down. =X

Been given the post of Assistant Log head for the new AE student's club but turned it down. I seriously doubt I'd want to hold so many positions and I dont think I am capable of doing so. Besides, my CCA pts are somehow potentially reaching Gold so I'd requested for a downgrade of post to the year 3 sub committee, where I think I can better manage and interact more. Hehehe.

I mean, who wants to become another logistics personnel when you are one in the Avionics club. Reduced workload! =P
