Oh man i want more driving sessions!!! I seriously cant wait for parking and stuffs. But because of the inavailability of slots and the FTT so so so far away, i guess i have to slow down my driving progress in order to avoid paying more than necessary.
But well, im glad im learning faster than the average learner does, pumping in more subjects into each lesson..HAHAHAHAHA

Ok, finally a 1 week rest from editting, since the first draft is sent to the publisher and it takes about a week to get back to us. =) No more going to sch for now Whoooo
So its raining now and it just spoils everything. Blurry windscreen when driving in another 1 hour's time, and most probably no soccer after driving =X But from the sounds of it, the rain seems to be stopping. Alright, a sign of hope. =)
Was looking at my training record. After this week i'd had gone through about 8 lessons so far. There's 3 more lined up next week and i guess it should be the same for the week following. So before school reopens i guess im able to finish all the lesson subjects and prepare for the driving test. I'd initially thought that i had to wait till may to kickstart my first lesson, but no, it only took me 2 days after my BTT. Hehehe.
ok the publisher just called me, more stuffs to clarify again. =P

Yes! The race in editting the magazine is coming to its final corner!
The lecturer committee and I decided that we should change tactics from the previous year and stick to editting the articles first before we send to the publisher. This will greatly minimize the number of changes we will need to implement to the first draft! And after a whole week of almost 8-6 in the meeting room, the first draft is born! Woooo, if quickly completed i think i can pump more for driving lessons alr! Weee
Alright, the fact is that im blogging from the meeting room now. Time to start it soon =P

Ahh finally the super heavy stone is being destroyed into bits!
Checked for results today. Erm not that fantastic compared to those around but in my opinion i think its good. My worse case scenario was for 3.3, best is 3.7, since I know PDPR's a module that's quite impossible to get an A. Well, God's gift of 3.6 and a B for PDPR to me was very pleasing. I mean, I was very thankful for it even though there are ppl around who get 3.7 and 3.8. At least the course in NUS and NTU are still open when I calculate my average GPA which is still being maintained =) So 1 semester down, an overall of 2 years over, so 1 more year to go for! I guess next semester's grades are the crucial ones as it will be the finale for my application. The thing to remember is, JUST MAINTAIN 1 MORE TIME! =D
Thank You my Heavenly Father!

Blogging from school now. Haha. Managed to book a slot for driving today and yeah, surfing the net in the library first before going down.
So its been quite busy for me now, especially in the span of these 2 weeks. Gotta help the lecturers with the editting of the magazine articles and they can go on and go debating, reasoning and challenging certain english words up to the extent that we can talk for an hour regarding the structure of 3 sentences? But overall, its good to be kepy busy during the holidays though i dont get to watch my TV shows, get NO time at all to exercise and know when not to book dates for driving. At least I dont laze around home or do something else that just wastes precious time away =)
On the subject of busy, thurs and fri is dedicated to sch, yeah 8-6. And not forgetting fri is results day =X Sat's most likely reserved for driving if there's a slot and to the movies and pool. Sun's a good time to relax and watch TV because come monday the whole school magazine editting cycle starts all over again. But lucky for me my whole holidays isnt going to be spent like that.
Back to refreshing the SSDC webpage again to "EAT" other's slots. HAHAHAHAHA

Ahhh seriously I hate people with low class behaviour and esp. AUNTIES!!
Was buying rice just now when 1 bitch from that category went on to cut my queue. I was waiting for the person to see me and ask me for my order since there was a chaos in front. So theres 2 AUNTIES in fact that were behind me, so lets name them bitch 1 and bitch 2. Seeing I wasnt moving on, bitch1 went to cut my queue, instead of asking me to move forward. I was DAMN PISSED! It was lucky i didnt raise my voice at her or call her nasty hokkien names to shame her in public. Then bitch 2 wanted to cut and i gave her this face of "you dare and you're get a blueberry bun for breakfast tmr". So bitch 2 told me lo lee lo losh and i turned around and told her to mind her own business. She continued and luckily she stopped in time before i told her to "DIAM". Mum was there and she said loudly that bitch1 "might not have eaten for a few meals and mayb is hungry" Yeah, i dont think she's tt rich, mayb thinking whether she can survive her next meal. DAMN PISSED!
I just cant stand people who are these ill mannered, esp aunties who are old enough. The worst is that they disgrace singapore overseas, with their super kiasu and kiasi behaviour sufficiently displayed during the IT fair as noted by many. If that's the case, i'd advise them to drop their citizenship, because they seriously smear our good reputation overseas.

Managed to book driving lessons from people who were trying to sell theirs last minute. So lucky me didnt get to drive 1 month later =)
So ystd was the first lesson. Instructor was v v nice fellar, joked and talked with me to make me feel at place. So starting was def jerky, but he said i was quite a fast learner and brakes were quite smooth!! =) Well i think i did quite average for a beginner, though my stalls were like 9-10 times??
Got the same instructor today. Oh I forgot to mention that ystd he asked me to apply for PDL cos he thinks im ready for the road, which i very fearfully thought I wasnt. So went 1 round in the circuit, and to the roads. Yeah, stalled again but lesser this time, like 2-3 times only? Went on to 4th gear and managed to keep the car under control. Instructor said 4th gear was suppossed to be at the 3 or 5 session but he wanted to let me have a taste of it. Learnt changing up gear and changing down. No probs with that. Er and also checking for oncoming traffic before turning. Hmmmm quite ok too. Only there's once when i didnt know why but suddenly jam-braked and caught the instructor and the car behind me by surprise. I didnt even know what i was doing as well! Seriously sometimes i just control the car without knowing what im doing. This is not pro or smth, just that somehow or rather the mind just does its automatic driving thing whereas you're just not thinking abt driving. hmmmmm
Went to NTU open house after that. Alright the journey is SUPER FAR!!! I just wanna get into NUS and yeah, be MUCH MUCH closer to home. So the open house was alright, just that very few professors could answer my enquires on admission stuffs since i think they're just there either for show or to answer some course academic questions or refill the booklets. =P Went home after that and yeah...
THE JOURNEY WAS SUPER LONG ALSO!

YEAH! Passed my BTT today! Well I know its quite easy and stuff but I was actually counting to see how many mistakes I might potentially make and yes, the magic number is 6. So if those questions were to be wrong and I'd fail because of that, it certainly is 6 dollars NOT WELL SPENT!
Made a block booking of 10 lessons just now and guess what the figures were. $793.94! Yeah, so in less than 10 mins I spend close to 800 dollars. Lucky for me, my god of fortune was beside me allowing me to type in her credit card numbers. HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Also booked my FTT, 16th April! Which is about 1 month's time from now.
So now, its just like another race in the SYFC, to beat others to the vehical bookings. Just that SYFC did not have about 70 plus planes like the SSDC has for cars but also proportionally the SYFC doesnt have that many students!
Counting down to 5.30pm, so that I can rush into the system and make my waiting list bookings. Yes, Im just that excited about learning how to drive! =)

First day into the second week of the holidays. Well, last week was dedicated to recuperation from the sun burn as a result of the camp, plus settling some of the school stuffs.
Now, it seems that boredom is settling in, but I'd have a duty to prevent it from doing so. Why? Well, actually, I have been assigned the editor of my department's annual magazine and seeing that lots of planning has to be done, there is just simply no time to slow down. Also, driving lessons are coming up soon, if I pass my BTT by this weds, next week.
Dinner last Sat was spent at bottletree restaurant near Khatib. Drove past there many times but never got to have a meal there. Finally the chance came. Dad suggested eating there to celebrate mum's b'day in advance. Ordered quite alot of stuff, mee goreng, scallop fried rice, butter sotong, cereal prawns, sweet and sour pork ribs, sambal spinach. All for a table of 4. The food was delectable, but what made me like the place more was the environment. Though situated near to the MRT tracks, the surrondings were pleasantly quiet. There was this huge pond whereby kids can ride on the "swan boats" around it, a pool table, prawn and fish catching, play grounds and a private hut for private events.
All in all, a serene place in the midst of a urban estate.

Ah its the A level results today for many of those out there. Well, being in a poly has its advantages too, you dont get the results from 2 years' hard work all in 1 shot, its being separated into 6 semesters. So mathematically it is still possible to jump back onto good grades again. But well, when we gain some, we lose some too =(
I guess at the end of the day the system is rather fair afterall!

Alright back from Avionics camp with a super sunburnt nose =X
First day.
Played games like captain's ball, H2o, those clapping games and stuff. Really fun and it was damn funny to see some people run about and doing things you'd never have imagined them doing. Concentration games was when everyone targetted people like rayson to force them to do a forfeit. Captain's ball was a little hard as satish was towering over me and catching all the balls, resulting in my team's ultimate thrashing. =P Water games was definitely of course about throwing all the water bombs at one another and "splash, whack, bam!" You can be like trying to aim at someone else and then all of a sudden PHAM! someone else whacks you on the back or head. LOL.
Rained later so we headed back and bathed, changed and played cards. Super hungry period before dinner time. Food was lousy cos sch didnt arrange for outdoor catering and insisted on using the "official" school caterer. Since dinner was lousy, everyone wanted to get out and we went to bukit timah plaza to get some tidbits and instant noodles. Continued playing cards and watched movies later on.
Slept at my room and the temp in the room was quite low, so I adjusted it to about 25 degrees before sleeping. After 10 mins, I felt it was too cold to I switched it off. Who knows, halfway through the night, jowell came in, felt that the room was like an oven and decided to switch it on. So all through the morning I was somehow shivering in bed till 6.
Second day
Had amazing race today and erm, loads of funny incidents happened. ren liang's pants split halfway through the race and it then became the butt of all jokes. Super funny cos we were like "eh dunno who dont want to buy a bigger size ar" and " huh his pants size sold out le meh cos I thgt v seldom ppl will buy this size de". LOL rushed and rushed all the way till suntec until everyone was super tired and we all congregated into 1 big single group. Took the bus back and halfway through the journey it rained. Continued with a few stations and then waited at the bus stop for ceyao to ferry all of us 5 at a time back to kismis.
talking about kismis, erm the apartments seemed quite well decorated, sorta like a condo. Toilets had full length mirrors and nice lightings, flooring was of parket material, there was a fridge and walls were well painted. Only 2 things Im not satisfied with, which is there's no TV and no internet! Defeats the purpose of me bringing my laptop, but fortunately I used it to watch videos.
Had dinner and then performance night. All the groups acted out their skits and erm, it was super hilarious as well. Had activities like guessing the song names and the dance party where everyone did some friendship dance. Super lucky nv tio-ed the person i didnt wanna dance with. Whew. It was just that close seh. Went back to the loft and called macs delivery. Watch Galileo and almost everyone slept halfway after watching the first 30 mins. Ate macs after that then slept.
Today!
Packed the stuffs, ate breakfast then had de-brief. My group was like the last of the four but nvm we also had prizes HAHAHAHAH. At least we all had fun. Went to play pool at bukit timah plaza and ate KFC while talking. Home after that.
Hmmm.. so all in all the camp was enjoyable but I think there are areas which can be improved on. It was good bonding together. =)
So right now, its time to catch back on the lost hours of sleep =D
