Wow..I certainly have 0 talent for the arts. But at least, this sorts of proves that I am still right in my decision to study engineering..=) Maybe..I'd take sociology in the future.Hmmmmm...

Whoo, got my Laptop yesterday from school.I have finally decided on a Fujitsu and yup,no regrets. But hard work at the start, connecting the LAN cables, ensuring tt the printer is up for sharing usage, installing the macromedia flash players from funny funny locations inside the C drive, installing Java, downloading Windows Live messenger and the list just goes on and on. Finished all tt throughout last night and I'm glad to say tt all the properties are working just the wayI want it to be. What's more, its a Vista computer so quite tough to look for certain settings locations at the start.I think its totally different from Windows XP Professional. Next up, I'm going to look for a cooling pad to put under my notebook. Loads of people are using that now and I think that it does play a part in keeping the notebook cool thus, in one way or another, extending the life of the chips inside.(I myself am not sure about this fact though) =P
Cant get to watch Mr Bean's holiday because its just so crowded at the cinemas.Everybody's just rushing to catch a glimpse of Mr Bean's acts again. So long ago since hecame up with a movie and what'smore this time its when there are more advanced movie effects and much better graphics andsound systems as compared to the past. AnywayI cant imagine that people actually went to do upa cartoon series of Mr Bean. Many of you people out there should have seen it before. Mr brother keeps tuning in to it on disney channel every weekday. Argh. I am so sick of hearing the cartoon edition entrance song.
3 more weeks to the START OF SCHOOL!!
Thinking about what CCA to join now.Its so tough to find a CCA that does not require much long hours of participation and yet can "pump" up my portfolio. Also,it must be somthing that I enjoy. Currently, it looks like one of my 3 criterion might be put away.

Seriously, no offence, but I think the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are looking like 2-legged lizards in the up-coming movie. They look way too muscular to me. Mr Bean's holiday is coming soon!! And Spiderman 3 is swinging in after that!! =)
Learning to play DOTA. Or rather, learning to install it first. Cant believe my aunt likes to play it =X
Lets GO!!

In contrast to what I had posted a few days back, I made a new decision to buy a Fujitsu Life-book. Well, I made that decision when the notebook order-form reached me. I then realised in an instant the pricings that I saw on the NP website a few weeks back was actually BACK-DATED! Now, the notebooks are cheaper and surely, better.
Stopped by the HDB hub today after the gym and it was packed with people seeing the Campus superstar auditions. Not often do I see so many people at the Hub. Lots of mei-meis there today too. =) HAHA However, I find it absurd for some people who have poor voices to actually contest. If you'd told me you had a stage fright, fine, some people are actually first-timers on stage. But to sing so horribly would be un-acceptable. Sometimes, we have to know our limits.
For those who read the newspapers regularly these days, I'm sure you guys would have noted that there was a common topic being mentioned, which is about the issue on some average students not being able to enter polytechnics. The reason behind this is fierce competition from their counterparts who are JC eligible but still decided to enrol in a polytechnic course of their choice. Today's newspapers saw some teenagers commenting that it was tough luck for the average students. I didnt agree with them totally. In some sense, I find that they are not sympathetic towards the average students. They might be smart, clever, talented or whatever you name it,but never should we forget those who "do not see the light as fast". No matter what, there would always be someone who is just not as smart and may be lagging behind. We should always try and be in their shoes and understand their predicament. The key-word here is understand. If everyone were to be that fast in learning, everyone would be branded as average.Society should progress as a whole and not push the elite forward and leave the average people behind. Of course we should not accept ridiculous cases of students struggling to enter engineering courses when they have failed their maths and sciences. All in all, everyone has to accept the fact that in this world, no-one waits for you. Opportunities gone will never be presented in the same form again.
With me speaking on the polytechnic issue, its interesting to note that so many high-scorers are entering polytechnics. Now, I can daringly say that some polytechnic students are even better than JC students. Argue it in anyway you wish to, but that is what I feel. Not that I am not receptive to other views, but I have seen too many cases of JC students priding themselves as better over their poly counterparts to be able to come to a conclusion that JCs are still better. Now, the stage is equal. No offence to any of my friends studying in JC though. =)
Holding..

HAHAHA..Yeah, i'm more or less decided on what laptop to buy. If I really do not find a suitable notebook from the list in the brouchers provided to me by NP, I'd go for a HP or Acer. Maybe I should go consult some adults first. There's this Sony Vaio that's so cool, so slim and yet so powerful. I wanted to get that but on further thoughts, it's not really worth that extra few hundred for a slimmer laptop. C'mon, where's the broucher that's suppossed to be mailed from the school??!!
Had my last session of tennis today. The coach re-capped on the basics, such as the fore-hand, double back-hand, leg motion and not forgetting serving the ball across. I learnt this idea today from my tennis coach and I should say that its really very true. " In the past, people play tennis to keep fit. Now, we keep fit to play tennis." Well, quite true afterall. =)
Going to the CPF board and bank tomorrow to do some enrolment fee stuff. Its really very confusing to have so many different modes of payments and to juggle a few bank accounts, with the task of monitoring them closely so as to transfer money as quick as possible. Oh, and there's a colour vision test for me tomorrow too. Its part of a pre-course colour-vision check-up which is required of all students in my course. I'm certainly not colour-blind!!
With the Manutd VS Chelsea match looming nearer, I guess its soon time for me to organise another small little "gathering" with the sec 4s to watch that potentially "breath-taking" match. The last time we went to Clarke Quay and then, the tpy macs. Lets see if its possible to watch it at...St James Power Station. Never been there before, but I can anticipate a huge crowd packing up the whole lobby.
The lost feeling

Its so so so so so so so so (X10000) hard to get a suitable laptop. First, to meet my mum's main requirement of being light so tt I can carry it easily. Oh gosh. Then, the sch's technical requirement of having the Os set to either XP professional or Vista business. Moving on, my own expectations of seeing the laptop equipped with Intel core 2 duo!, GeForce graphics card!!,at least 1GB of RAM and a DVD burner. Well, I can settle for something less powerful but definitely no AMDs, strictly a NO NO. Argh, and I'm super confused with the NP enrolment stuff, paying for the sch fees, applying for this and that. Why cant they just push forward the application date a little earlier. Its so fustrating having to wait for so many things at 1 time.

Its 1.18AM as I blog now. There's only 1 reason for me to do so, which is temporary INSOMNIA! Why? Well my mind is just full of laptops. Nth but laptops.
This all started with my trip to the IT show at Suntec today, or rather, yesterday to be more precise. The place was so crowded. On the 3rd level was the "battle of attention" from both Microsoft and Sony, with each trying to promote their Windows Vista and Playstation 3 respectively. Yup, only both companies on the 3rd level. Must hv cost a bomb to rent all that huge space down. Proceeded to the 4th level after that and wow, it was quite packed. The various house-hold computer brands were busy advertising their newest or "must-buy" products. Strolled around to enquire more abt the various laptops and their pros-and-cons. I must say its impressive to note that there're so many laptops on good offers. Well, which is another headache, because it would mean a tough decision on which to purchase. Thought and discussed for a long time before coming to a steady conclusion. I suppose I would be accompanying my parents next to the IT show again.
Went to play some arcade after that. "Arcade therapy" is really good. HAHAHA.. Well its a therapy that I invented myself. Playing those challenging arcade games once in a while really releases stress. HOLD ON, since I'm not schooling, where is my stress coming from? Hmmmmmm.......
Ah, still cant sleep now. Guess I've to rant on a little more...
I seriously cant wait for the enrolment package to come. Only then can I officially register for school, get my laptop and form some basic idea of what aerospace electronics is all about..How amusing it is to know that poly students are actually comsidered adults??For instance,we CANT register for Campus superstar(Not that I'm eager to join it) and are NOT entitled to student fares on public transport rides(I suppose so)!! How ridiculous.
Its the hols next week. But, from past experience, it will be a week of holidays mostly spent in school, unless you're at the primary or lower secondary level with minimal commitments. I've known of people who are super duper busy this hols preparing for this camp, that event, remedial so on and so forth. I presume most students will like the December hols the best, because.......Christmas would be around the corner!!YEAH!
Getting a little sleepy now. So it means time to go off! TC people, enjoy your hols!!
Everyone's there for You, with the exception of yourself. Be there..

So much happened and in just a few days. Yesterday, while reading the newspapers, I felt giddy and thought that I was hungry?! Yeah. Looking out of my window, I saw the neighbouring block move and it gave me a big shock. Ran over to the next room to ask my bro if he felt the same thing and yes, he did. I switched on the TV, with a slight feeling that there must be an earthquake. Well, there was one. Add this to this morning's aircraft disaster in Indonesia and the tragic equation is summed up. It's so saddening to hear that so many disasters plagued Indonesia this year and mind you, its only the first 3 months of the year. Hope there would be lesser disasters to come for them. Until then, lets just give that help whenever we can.
Got into Aerospace electronics in Ngee Ann. Dont ask me why I didnt choose a JC for my JAE application. I prefer to call it personal preference. I feel that I can excel better in a poly environment so if I'm able to, why not go for it. Well, I thought that people are becoming more open to poly people but sadly, not many. Some are still asking why not a JC, with others commenting that are you sure you wanna be stuck with a diploma after that. First things first, poly students DO get into uni and depending on your course, we are able to switch disciplines too. Its interesting to note that some people are able to get into a JC but not a poly course. This well shows that poly courses are in demand and at the same time, demanding too.
The HK drama show that's currently on air at 8pm on Channel 55 is super duper nice. Its about the GFS of HK (Government Flying Service) and its been a long time since I saw Ekin Cheng (Zheng YiJian) starr in any show. The theme song of the drama is nice too. Well, I think TVB dramas still got a long way to go before they die out, because the quality of their dramas is simply fantastic.
Whoo, the IT fair is just tomorrow. I cant wait to catch a glimpse of the latest tech gizmos and the great offers put up. Oh, the PS3 is being released in Singapore today too.
Its seriously getting boring at home. Something to do please!!

Here I am, sitting in front of the comp. waiting for my posting results. I just cant get to sleep, worrying if anything just crops up. Heard from some ppl tt the posting process is really really random. Some ppl hit the COP but still cant get into the course of their choice. I doubt I am able to hang on until 8am in the morning, but I will be sure to wake up at that time to rush to the comp and check the postings.
After this round of postings, I am sure many will go their own ways, more certain of where they are heading towards. New friends, new subjects and new enviroments. No doubt, there would certainly be lesser contact between older friends, but yeah, stay the same people. It'd be good to see how people would have changed while some stay as their same old-selves. Whatever it is, life's about adaptability.Where-ever you go, things change and you change to suit them.
