Finished the chinese 'O' level paper and watched X-men 3 yesterday. The movie was quite nice, with all the fanastic graphics, superb sound effects and good ending. Well, going to watch over the hedge next. Many people say that it is nice to watch, with some giving like 4-5 stars out of a total of 5.
Its the hols now, even though we need to go back to school during the first 2 weeks. Well, I always turn into my relaxed mode during the holidays, with my schedule consisting of watching the drama on channel 55, the PS2, street soccer, basketball, movies, walks, some light reading and of course revision. But it will appear to be quite boring after some time. And that's the time when school reopens, haha.
Talking about drama. The korean dramas are hot like anything else now, with the title everyone is most familiar with, da chang jin. Have not watched it and dont intend to, because I dont really like korean gu zhuang. the Hong Kong dramas are still the number 1 choice to me. Was just trying to classify the types of Hong Kong drama that I watched. To me, the best ones are those that are a little funny, lame, actioned, have surprising endings, romantic and those with fatastic storylines. Leave out those that are boring and those that " bring you nowhere". Also, the theme songs are pleasing to the ear, well at least to me.
If we want to have something in return for what we have sacrificed or given, that is called an exchange, but when you are willing to release something without requesting for any payback, that is called love.

Joga Bonito, play beautiful
So still wondering about the phrase above? It means play beautiful, though I do not know in which language. Yup, just playing soccer beautifully. Had a small little incident at the street soccer court yesterday where someone on the opposing team was playing rough. Well, this just displays to me that they are lousy in soccer, because the better ones often do not have to resort to rough play. There is a difference between playing rough and playing tough.
Next, I was just pondering on one of my previous posts. In there, I wrote that if you love something or are passionate about something, nothing will dampen your passion for it. But coming to think of it, I find that there are just some exceptions. Somethimes, the actions of others really make you feel either just so fed-up or disappointed, considering that you have done something for them. The gratefulness is just not there.
Even though I am not really satisfied with the method of resolving the problem, I still respect one of my teachers for saying this, that values is more important than studies. To analyse this, lets just prioritise both of them. With values, such as determination, courage, attitude, no matter how weak you are in your studies, you will rise up. Even if you dont, you will gain the support of others around you, because of what they see in you. However, even if you are the top student anywhere, without these values, you will still drop sooner or later and get looked-down upon by others. You cannot learn such stuff from books, you must learn from experience to possess them. And maintaining them is not an easy task, especially when situations differ from one to another.
With the world cup looming in, can really feel the soccer atmosphere. People rushing to suscribe to the cable tv sports channels, buying world cup merchandise, playing the official world cup game. Well, to me, the world cup is just the best sporting event ever, the pride is on the line, the skills displayed, the tactics used, 1 word to describe it all, superb. Well, I am going for PORTUGAL. There are a star studded team, though not as good as the Brazilans.
Last but not least, so glad Henry signed for Arsenal. Well, this means a more balanced power, otherwise clubs like Chelski and Barca and tougher to beat.

Just have FUN
Wow, had so much fun from the soccer session today. Played 4-a-side together with the e2 ppl. Much chance to move about with the ball. Street soccer is just so fun. And I am just so glad that there is a street soccer court near my house. Didn't know that some of the girls are getting addicted to soccer too. Anyway, soccer is just so fun and all about a display of skills and teamwork.
Saw many ppl lending click 5 cds here and there. Yet to hear it yet. Going to borrow it soon.
This week also had many people going about with serious faces. Haha, what's on with serious faces. Just relax and be positive, because you never know what it going to happen tomorrow. So dont about with serious and "black" faces unless something really blows you up.
An, no football crazy on channel 23 today. Well, all due to the wet weather. Hmmm..... quite disappointed.
Anyway the eng oral today. Saw so many anxious faces today. All eager to just get tested and leave that state of anxiety.

Calmness
I just discovered 1 thing. Since there are 2 sides to a coin, before we just make a fast conclusion and become biased about someone else, why not just think of the good things the other party has done. This will just help to calm our inner self to think more logically and realistically instead of becoming biased towards anyone at that instant moment.
This week passed quite quickly. The NP day parade. Quite nervous on stage, but became more used to it later on. Last NP day parade. Remembering how I disliked the long parades, now I just wish for that parade feeling to linger on longer, because it will never come back again. Even there is another parade, it will not be the same because the same people are no longer involved in it. The feeling is lost. I think it is only when something is going to be taken away from us that we start to realise its presence and to apreciate its value.The chance will never present itself again. Even if opportunity presents itself again, it will only come in another form, because just like how the rivers flow, time can never flow back. The thing that remains intact is the memories we have, and that's why people always say " let's hope the memories last"
The week also saw a sad incident, the passing away of a young life. Much has been said about it, and I am sure how everyone feels so I wont dwell on the sad part.
The fragaility of life. The priceless value. That same person will never be there, to just joke or be angry with you. It's just all too late to just regret at that time. This not only happens in just that single case, it applies to everyone and everything, because you will never know what might happen next. All we need is to be contended and feel the love of life. At the end of the day, it does not matter where is your next destination, the crucial part is what have you reaped on the way to your destination. That is what you hope to achieve when you are setting your aim in the 1st place, your objective is to learn something,know something, feel something and not look for something.

The love we want
I learnt and realised 1 hidden fact from yesterday's story sharing session. Just 1, but its a powerful 1.
As the story goes, the family invited love in. And I do agree that with love, everything is possible. But I would like to just talk on the part on why at first the father and boy wanted to choose success and prosperity.
I dont deny that I buy branded goods too. But my reason is different. I believe in its quality. Some who buy branded goods buy it for the sake of showing to others that they are rich and cool. In return, others will interact with the person more just to become as cool. Is this not buying love. I am sure the clothes at Hang Ten as also as comfortable. Everyone wants love but they obtain it differently. We all go for success and prosperity but in the end, are we not trying to obtain the love that success and prosperity gives us. If success and prosperity gives us hatred and troubles, no one would go for it. So with love presented to us, why do we still want to obtain it through an alternative route instead of having it directly? I strongly agree that with love, everything is possible, because we have placed love as our ultimate goal and this mental strength will replace the physical weakness.
Another thing. I think that our attitudes really matter. For instance, if I am very interested in a game, I would go all out to play it and to play it well. If I possess this attitude, no matter how tired I am, I will still play the game. This is what I call the love of the subject. Maybe we can apply it to our studies. Just thought of it, studying is just about knowing and understanding a certain concept. The questions are just to test and ask you about the concept. The tougher ones and like the tougher levels in a game, but if we possess the right attitude, we will conquer it. So, it all boils down to attitude. Sad to say, I dont possess it. Maybe soon? Lets see.
But with all this love and sttitude, 1 more would be discipline. Without discipline, nothing will be accomplished.
For those who understand what I wrote, I sincerely thank you and I hope that it has changed your perspective of life. It is such a nice feeling to just note that people do read the whole post because I know some do. Even if t means only 1 person, I would just post for that 1 person to read. Because in life, quality, but not quantity, counts.

The bad week
This week has been a bad week, with all the fightings, accident and other stuff going on.
But nevertheless, life still goes on
Do people have to be smart to get what they want. People always see those who obtain good results as smart talents. But I beg to differ. To me, whatever you put in, whatever you get. Your actions are just reflections of your future and character. As much as I would like to believe that smart people are those who are good in their studies, I also wish to say that we must also not forget the hardworking ones too. Some people claim that they are smart, and say that they can obtain the results if they want to. Haha. But why did they not obtain that superb result at that moment. I strongly believe in meritocracy, that if you put in the hard work, the desired result will be yours.
Corporal punishment. I agree to it. the debate on the corporal punishment has not really a good one. I agree to lighter corporal punishments. Society is crumbling. Values are being forgotten. The soft way just does not work on some people. They take it for granted. Therefore, if there is no other way to make them learn the lesson, then that's when the hard way comes in. I would rather they stop doing those illegal stuff because of fear, because they will never understand it the with the soft approach.
Friends. Someone that everyone needs. But when you treat someone as your friend, does the other party do the same. I have seen lots of examples to comment on this, that some friends are like dogs. By saying this, I am sure some of you have a slight idea of what those type of friends are. Let me clarify your doubts. They come begging at you when they need something from you, pestering you and hoping that you would grant their requests. But after the job has been settled, the friendliness no longer stays. They do not respond to you and just hope to divert attention away because you are not "important" to them anymore. I dont even think that a dog should be used to describe these people, because even a dog would stay faithfully by his or her master. Its really sad to see some friends falling under this category, even though these are the usual ones who always mention the true value of friendship. All in all, these people just do not even deserve the slightest bit of respect.
For those who perserved until here, I sincerely thank you, because you have made the least effort to reflect and read.

Br original, be yourself
I have come to realise 1 thing about life. that is you have to be yourself. It is only then when you can feel at ease at not having to follow other's footsteps. For eg, If others are successful and you want to follow them, naturally you would try to take their footsteps to success. But in this case, you do not even know whether the method suits you and will end up being more unleasant than happy. Also in times of troubles, you would have no " model" to turn to as you do not know the reaction of the person when he or she faces difficulties. So the bottom line, be yourself. Learn from the good points of 0thers and make it suit your personality. Believe what you believe in, but at the same time having the discipline to understand others comments.
Just saw a few videos on the Nike fotball website. It shows so many stars with their tricks. In a way, the video is quite amazing and yet humurous. Well, they are just trying to promote fair play and to eliminate diving. Just got so fascinated by the superb dribbling. Seeing that reminds me of my cousin playing at the street socccer court in Eng. Those there were pros. Well, at least he managed to "try" and stop the pros. Haha. I just love Eng and the soccer culture they have there.
This time, I am just going to put away all distractions. Now, my priority list, Studies, Soccer, Friends, Dramas and Music. That's going to be all.
